Trump Truths DeSantis
As of June 12, 2024, this page is no longer updated. With DeSantis tanking in the polls, it no longer felt needed.

The survey, taken among 442 Iowa Republican caucus goers, found Trump leading the Republican primary field with overwhelming majority support — 62 percent. No other candidate comes remotely close. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who formally jumped into the race on Wednesday, came in a distant second, 42 points behind, with 20 percent support.

The GOP primary battle has now been joined by Governor Ron DeSantis, who followed Senator Tim Scott, former Governor Nikki Haley, and star investor Vivek Ramaswamy. All are highly accomplished, talented leaders. But there is a big difference between being a successful governor, legislator, or entrepreneur, and running for President. And it's something else entirely to run for President against Donald Trump. In the political ring, he is unlike any other combatant, as the graveyard of his previous GOP opponents attests.

Our nation's 45th commander in chief has shown the requisite mettle to succeed.
His competitors have not.
Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., for instance, has a history of doing his donors’ bidding. His record on free speech is abysmal, and he's nothing more than a war hawk draped in a cloak.
When DeSantis has tried to stand up for his bold, focus-grouped proclamations, it hasn't worked out so well.
Over the past few months, he has been consistently outmatched by Mickey Mouse?
Would his attempts at intimidation fare any better globally?
On the other hand, President Trump is fully aligned and committed to unabashed America First values. He will shamelessly pursue them.
He has shown us his strength of character and fortitude.
The right team will uplift him to achieve heightened levels of success. Other candidates, namely DeSantis, will claim to be the "anti-woke candidate."
They are just a tribute band. Americans want the real deal.

The uniparty establishment still harbors deep animosity for Trump because he refuses to sell out to them, and this is evidenced not only by the relentless media assaults but also by the erroneous civil suits and criminal prosecutions that have been brought against him. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is a ship sailing against the current of Trump’s tide in the GOP primary, representing the Republican Establishment, who are so eager to get rid of Trump.
Not only did DeSantis exploit Trump and his backing to win the 2018 Florida gubernatorial race, but he has spent his entire first term acting like a Trump clone. DeSantis’s campaign against Trump and his America First philosophy, of which he falsely claimed to be a proponent, revealed that the whole thing was a charade to obtain power. DeSantis’s ship of leadership sank in the Disney debacle, leaving him stranded in a sea of failure and embarrassment. When Mickey Mouse can easily trick you, how can you expect to outsmart cunning foxes like President Xi of China and President Putin? If DeSantis becomes President, he’ll be squeezed like a Florida orange until he’s as fluid as its juice under the immense pressure of international politics.

Some presidential candidates struggle to nail their message. Ron DeSantis is struggling to nail his NAME. In the early days of his campaign, DeSantis has gone back and forth between pronouncing his name Dee-Santis and Deh-Santis.
Why it matters: DeSantis' dissonance on how to say his name — for years an issue of confusion for his campaign teams — is a curiosity as many GOP leaders and donors wonder whether the Florida governor is ready for the scrutiny of a presidential campaign.

For the past 50 years, there has been no greater fight for devoted conservatives and our faith-based values than the fight for life in the womb.
It is also undeniable that no president has done more to fight for the unborn than Donald J. Trump.
For this reason, and as a lifelong Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother of two who championed the Iowa fetal heartbeat bill signed into law in 2018, I am proud to endorse President Donald J. Trump for re-election to the highest office in the land.

Trump is fighting like a heavyweight champion robbed of his dignity, rightful sense of accomplishment and a job unfinished.
DeSantis is the kid who can’t wait to get in the ring.
Both have talent, both have a rough sense of the opponent. But one has a mission. He was robbed of completing it and he’s not playing for second.

DeSantis’ disastrous Twitter launch, rationalized as bold and forward thinking by his supporters, is just the tip of the iceberg. The problem is DeSantis is lacking quite a bit more than Trump’s “baggage.” Without his rival’s authenticity or charisma, DeSantis has relied on an annoyingly overbearing political operation to stay afloat. But sly maneuvering is precisely what Republican voters despise most in a politician today. Oddly enough, DeSantis appears to have even changed how he says his last name. One can imagine Trump having a field day with his understudy’s prevarications on the debate stage: “Tell us, Ron, Is it Duh-santis or DEE-santis?”

“I’m waiting for DeSantis to show me an economic prosperity agenda,” Kudlow said. “This is going to be a pocketbook election. This is going to be a kitchen table election. And the candidate who has a good, strong, pro-growth, pro-prosperity agenda is going to win.”
Kudlow chided DeSantis over his vendetta against Disney – one of Florida’s largest employers – after the company opposed legislation he signed into law last year.
“It is all about attacking a company in his state named Disney,” he continued. “He won’t let up. Conservative free market people don’t attack businesses. They do promote jobs and businesses. He hasn’t done that.”

In November 2022, the president announced his 2024 reelection bid in his home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, surrounded by friends, family, and close allies. His presidential announcement was an interesting contrast to the recent campaign launch of Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., who declared his intent to challenge Trump for the presidency during a faceless Twitter Spaces meeting with Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
While DeSantis has been courting Republican donors and avoiding questions on foreign policy, Trump has transparently laid it all out on the line, take it or leave it.

Leaked audio has emerged from the DeSantis donor strategy meeting in Miami on Thursday. In the clip you can hear below, DeSantis strategists tell high dollar donors making calls for the campaign that:
DeSantis’s position is keeping abortion decisions at a state level (following Trump’s position);
That the Governor will shift to the middle during a general election;
The campaign’s position on abortion can be described as “safe, legal, and rare in Florida” – a stunning deployment of President Bill Clinton’s infamous pro-abortion catchphrase.

Something has to change dramatically,” Baier said. “There may be events that we don’t know. There may be other legal challenges that [Trump] faces. There may be other things that happen. The knives are out to do everything to stop Trump in 2024. They’ll indict him, sue him and endlessly persecute him, but Trump supporters will still back him. The media will call us a cult and ask us why we keep harping on the 2020 election, but if we don’t find out what went wrong, how can we prevent the fraud from happening again? Liberals do not understand common sense so they dismiss our skepticism about election results rife with blatant fraud.

If DeSantis were to be the nominee, according to likely voters, Biden would take the lead in that context. Rust Belt voters polled said that they preferred Biden to Florida's anti-woke governor DeSantis, 38.3 percent to 33.9 percent. In that case, more than 13 percent would opt for a third party while 14.4 percent stated they were undecided.

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis is drawing just single-digit support (less than 9%) in the latest Siena College Poll, while former President Donald Trump enjoyed an overwhelming majority 60% support in the hypothetical 2024 GOP primary poll of registered New York voters.
Trump's support is up 8 points since March, while DeSantis' support has declined by a fraction of a point.
Just 32% of registered New York Republicans polled would not vote for Trump, and that small minority is divided heavily among Trump's challengers.
"Nearly a year from New York's presidential primary, Republicans — who view Trump favorably 67%-27% — are solidly behind the former president, nearly 2-to-1," pollster Steven Greenberg wrote in a statement. "Only among self-described moderate Republicans does 'other' beat Trump."

Anchor Martha Raddatz said, “DeSantis has been touting his record in Florida, calling it the boldest and most far-reaching agenda the modern GOP has seen. Part of that agenda has been going after our parent company, Disney. This week Disney scrapped a billion-dollar project that could have meant two thousand jobs in Florida. How does all that play out?”
Brazile said, “He is punching above his weight. The race is Donald Trump’s to lose. Mr. DeSantis is going to try to run as Donald Trump without the baggage, a lot of money and maybe better hair. I don’t really know. But here’s what I’m going to be looking for. I will look at Tim Scott because he is a little sunnier. He is more of a compelling, compassionate conservative.”

In further bad news for Biden, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis managed to tie the president in a one-on-one matchup, with 42% support each.

This fact about Trump’s unalloyed dominance, not unexpectedly, has permeated the polling. The latest Interactive Polls results show Trump with a whopping 43-point leadover Ron DeSantis, his nearest opponent, representing a 32-point increase since January. To make matters worse for the Florida Governor, his own constituents are rejecting him in droves for the 45th President. According to a recent poll conducted by Florida Atlantic University, nearly 2 out of 3 registered Floridian voters said they would pick Trump over their own Governor in a head-to-head matchup.

On Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida went out on a limb. On Tuesday, it snapped.
A day after he swooped into the Republican primary for Kentucky governor with a last-minute endorsement — a move that turned the race into an obvious proxy fight between himself and former President Donald J. Trump — Mr. DeSantis watched his chosen candidate lose in a landslide to the Trump-backed rival.
To make matters worse for Mr. DeSantis, a Republican he had endorsed conceded to a Democratic opponent in the mayor’s race in Jacksonville, the largest city in his state.

As Ron DeSantis’ sad excuse for a “shadow campaign” continues to be sabotaged by a litany of mostly self-inflicted setbacks and legal controversies – which, among other things, is reflected in cratering poll numbers (and betting odds), an embarrassingly small number of endorsements, lack of general media interest, and utterly horrendous visuals – there is a creeping sense of dread that has set in on the entire operation. Alas, at this stage, it appears DeSantis himself is committed to going all the way through on his plans, as demonstrated by his pathetic attempt at competing with the big dog in hosting a “picnic” in Iowa concurrently with Trump’s rally that was unfortunately postponed due to tornado storms.

Amidst massive legal battles involving former U.S. President Donald Trump and jockeying for control of the GOP that puts Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the public light, 69 percent of registered Republican voters in Florida still say they support Trump as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, while another 18 percent say they “somewhat support” him, according to a recent poll conducted by Florida Atlantic University, in collaboration with Mainstreet Research.
According to the poll, Trump would win over DeSantis by a significant margin if the primary were held when the poll was completed between April 13-14. When the same group of voters was asked about their choice for the upcoming Republican presidential primary, approximately 6 out of 10 (59 percent) chose Trump, while about 3 out of 10 (31 percent) chose DeSantis.

“The challenge that DeSantis and others face is that Donald Trump has a several years head start on this, they’ve continued to foster a significant organization across states that will make it difficult for later entrants who haven’t built that same infrastructure,” said a Republican strategist who has been in contact with almost every Republican presidential campaign. DeSantis, he said, “has a ton of money and not much organization.”
Election law prohibits coordination between PACs and campaigns, but Never Back Down has thus far been serving as the vehicle to promote DeSantis ahead of his launch.
“They’re going to use the super PAC as the ground game operation,” said someone else close to the DeSantis team, who was granted anonymity to speak openly about strategy. “The campaign is going to be basically in charge of TV messaging, the candidate’s scheduling and time. Paid media is going to be the campaign and grassroots operation is going to be the Super PAC.”

Twitter was having too much fun on Monday memefying Ron DeSantis. In a press conference during his visit to Japan, he was asked about recent polling that showed him falling far behind Donald Trump in a potential 2024 GOP primary. “Governor, polls show you falling behind Trump. Any thoughts on that?” a reporter asked. DeSantis tried to play it cool, but he looked bamboozled. “I’m not a candidate, so we’ll see if and when that changes,” DeSantis said, with his eyes wide open and his head shaking from side to side. The clip quickly trended on Twitter with tweets pouring in from all sides of the political aisle to goof on the “bobblehead” governor. “DeSantis is literally malfunctioning lol,” one tweeter joked. “Ron DeSantis’s costume is beginning to rip at the seams,” The New Republic wrote. DeSantis trailed Trump in a Wall Street Journal poll released Friday 24 percent to 48 percent.

DeSantis is expected to announce his 2024 campaign for president next month, once a bill that would allow him to run while still holding office makes its way to his desk.
The observation that the high-profile Florida politician may not be charismatic, especially compared to other GOP politicians, is something that former President Donald Trump pointed out as early as January of last year, Axios reported.

But Republican presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis failed to impress British business chiefs at a high-profile London event Friday, in a tired performance described variously as “horrendous,” “low-wattage” and “like the end of an overseas trip.”
The Florida governor, expected to launch his bid next month to challenge Trump as the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential race, met with more than 50 representatives of major U.K. firms and business lobbying groups as a part of a four-country “trade mission” ending in London Friday.
One U.K. business figure said DeSantis “looked bored” and “stared at his feet” as he met with titans of British industry in an event co-hosted by Lloyd’s of London — the world’s largest insurance marketplace.
“He had been to five different countries in five days and he definitely looked spent, but his message wasn’t presidential,” they told POLITICO. “He was horrendous.”

Trump, of course, has a huge lead over the field. In the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls, Trump has the support of 51.4% of Republicans, while DeSantis has 24.7%. After that, Pence has 4.9%, Haley 3.9%, Pompeo 1.3%, Christie 1.2%, Ramaswamy 0.9%, Scott 0.8%, and Youngkin 0.5%. (Hutchinson, with possibly even lower support, is not in the average.)

DeSantis has ramped up efforts to establish a national standing before deciding whether to run for president, as the Republican governor has scheduled meetings with several members of Congress in Washington over the last week. However, that plan seemed to backfire in some cases after Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) publicly endorsed Trump just hours after meeting with DeSantis.
It remains unclear whether DeSantis will launch a presidential bid, and the governor has kept his cards close to his chest on his decision. However, the Republican has admitted in private conversations that he’s seriously considering a run, sources told CNN.

Trump’s surge in the GOP primary has been even more profound. Every state polled since the indictment has shown Trump leading everyone else, and in most places, he has double-digit leads and majority support in both head-to-head matchups and in crowded fields.
In Iowa, for instance, Trump leads Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by 30 percent in the latest survey conducted by Victory Insights from April 10 to April 13. The poll of 400 likely 2024 Iowa caucus participants found Trump at 54 percent and DeSantis languishing down at 24 percent. Former United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley was at 14 percent, and everyone else was in single digits.

A new poll from Clarity Campaign shows President Donald Trump is winning yet again with a whopping 45-point lead over his waning potential rival, Governor Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.
According to their data, in a hypothetical 2024 Republican primary, President Trump garnered 65 percent of Republican primary voters’ support against Gov. DeSantis’s 20 percent, giving Trump one of his biggest leads in a primary poll to date.

It’s still early, but a recent Fox News poll shows Trump topping DeSantis by 30 points. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of Trump has been a boon for the former president both from a fundraising and polling perspective. He’s front and center and ubiquitous on every broadcast cable news network, just like he was in 2015 and 2016, while DeSantis, along with every other current and potential candidate, has disappeared from view.

Trump now leads DeSantis 51% to 38% among likely GOP voters, according to the Wall Street Journal poll.
DeSantis has not officially announced his intention to run for president in 2024, but he is expected to launch a campaign sometime after the end of Florida's legislative session, which concludes next month.

In Florida, Trump has garnered 12 of the 20 Florida Republican Delegates, surprising many people who may have believed that the Sunshine State’s lawmakers would break for DeSantis. However, Gov. DeSantis has not yet officially announced a bid for the presidency in 2024.
Since November, Trump’s campaign has gained unstoppable momentum. A recent 2024 Republican Primary poll from Clarity Campaign illustrated the president’s biggest lead yet, with 65 percent of the GOP vote against DeSantis’s 20 percent.

Governor Ron DeSantis is currently experiencing one of the worst stretches in the lead up to a likely presidential announcement in American history. Normally, prospective candidates experience a boom in their polls in the period before a looming announcement, as was the case with Donald Trump in 2015.

The idea of a Freedom City, at least at its highest level of generality as a citadel where freedom and innovation could thrive, strikes a positively classical chord. It is reminiscent of Greek city states like Athens and Sparta that became vehicles for varying expressions of democratic experimentation. The city, in its ancient version, is the highest form of political life. It represents a development beyond tribalistic societies, where survival is the key aim of politics, and creates a unifying front whereby the higher human goods, including the arts and sciences, can reach their natural potential. The ancient city is the place where human societies become fully civilized, and man could thereby realize his proper end. No other political society offers what man can achieve in the ancient city, and it is the reason why the greatest models of human excellence – Socrates, Plato, Aristotle – to this day remain inextricably linked to this one political form.

Fort Lauderdale, one of Florida’s biggest cities, has experienced historic flooding the past several days. The immediate damage has been so bad that the Fort Lauderdale airport was forced to close for at least a day this week, and much of the damage remains severe.
Rather than going there to oversee the response, DeSantis continued with his events in other places across the country this week—while the Fort Lauderdale airport was closed. He appeared in Ohio, in Virginia, and in New Hampshire this week while the ravaged city has raced to respond to the crisis.

The 2024 presidential election is heating up and with it comes the typical scramble of political consultants trying to hitch wagons to the winning campaign. The hottest gossip right now surrounds the Never Back Down PAC, which will support Florida governor Ron DeSantis in the event of a presidential run and has recently gobbled up some prominent Trump 2020 alumni.
One of the key players in any Republican election is Jeff Roe, the head of Axiom Strategies and a top consultant to Senator Ted Cruz during the 2016 election. Axiom, which is one of the three major GOP consulting firms alongside Majority Strategies and Arena, played a major role in Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin’s upset over Terry McAuliffe in 2018.

The former president has repeatedly lashed out at DeSantis for not ruling out a run after Trump endorsed him for governor in 2018.
DeSantis has largely ignored Trump’s broadsides as the former president has surged in the polls in recent weeks. If DeSantis does declare his candidacy, he is going to have to take on the de facto leader of his party directly.

The governor's rough week began on Wednesday when a five-person board handpicked by DeSantis to oversee the governance of Walt Disney World in Orlando revealed that an agreement made by its predecessor severely restricts the board's powers.
On March 29, the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District revealed that before DeSantis signed a bill giving the state control of the Reedy Creek district, the district signed another deal with Disney which severely restricts the board's powers and essentially allows the company to remain self-governing.

Sarah Longwell, a Republican strategist who is anti-Trump, attributes the shift to Trump's supporters returning to him, as well as his barrage of attacks on DeSantis.
Advisors to DeSantis, according to the Washington Post, have said the governor's candidacy - which many believed would begin in May - has gone from a dead-cert 'coronation' to a lengthy, 50-state fight for delegates.

A number of the Florida governor’s donors and allies are worried his recent stumbles suggest he may not be ready for a brutal fight against Donald Trump. Some feel DeSantis needs to accelerate his timeline to run for the GOP presidential nomination and begin directly confronting Trump if he's to have any chance of thwarting the former president’s momentum. Others believe DeSantis should sidestep Trump altogether and wait until 2028 to run.
The fears of some of his own supporters, along with a growing sentiment among GOP operatives that Trump may be impossible to defeat — even with a possible indictment looming over him — present DeSantis with the conundrum of trying to demonstrate that he is a viable presidential candidate before he even launches his anticipated campaign.

As DeSantis gears up for a potential White House run in 2024, his aloof public persona is being thought of by his rivals—namely, former President Donald Trump—as his Achilles heel in the retail politics-heavy early primary states.
“Easily the least responsive campaign I’ve ever dealt with,” one veteran event host in an early primary state told The Daily Beast, requesting anonymity to avoid alienating the Florida governor.
“We invite, invite, invite, ping, ping, ping. We don’t hear anything,” this prominent event host said.
During his Iowa swing, DeSantis’ apparent use of bike racks to create space between himself and a crowd didn’t go unnoticed elsewhere. “If they want 50 bike racks, we’ll give them 50 bike racks,” a New Hampshire GOP lawmaker quipped to The Daily Beast. A representative for DeSantis did not return a request for comment for this story.

Like much of the country, electricity rates in Florida have skyrocketed with the increase in natural gas prices. However, unlike much of the country, most Florida residents have only one option for electrical utility power. The rate of disconnection in Florida amid lower income and working families is far greater than almost any other state. Florida is quickly becoming a class-driven society with haves and have-nots.

Fox News reported Sunday that Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, predicted by many to launch a presidential campaign later this year, just wrapped up a trip to Iowa in what was seen as his most obvious sign of interest in making a play for the White Hous next year. Over the weekend, the former president took several specific shots at DeSantis on the topic of farming.
“Very small crowds for Ron DeSanctimonious in Iowa. He’s against Farmers, Social Security, and Medicare, so why would people show up – other than Fake stories from the Fake News!” Trump wrote Saturday on Truth Social.
If DeSantis launches a formal bid for the White House, Iowa will be one of the most important states for him to win. However, it’ll be a monumental challenge as voters have — for years — made it clear that Iowa is largely MAGA country.

The latest survey shows Trump dominating his challengers — some potential, some formally in the race — with a majority, 53 percent, selecting him as their number one choice. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the only potential challenger who comes remotely close, but even he falls 25 points behind, with just 28 percent support.

If you listen to the professional media pundits who give, and attempt to sway, opinion – and if you listen to the statements from the professional Republican class that wants to remove Donald Trump from the party, you will hear this general talking point:
“The Republican Party needs to appeal to a younger, more ethnically diverse audience to maximize the ‘big tent’ size of the party.”…
However, to point out the nonsense of their argument, if we take them at their word, what we find in almost every Republican poll demographic Donald Trump’s biggest base of support is younger, less wealthy, working class voters of every ethnicity.

Former President Donald Trump continues to maintain a 2-to-1 polling lead over chief rival Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and is the only Republican who would beat President Joe Biden, according to a new national poll released Tuesday morning.
In the Emerson College survey, Trump would topple Biden if the election were held right now, 46%-42%, which is just outside the margin of error of 2.9%.

Try picturing the amount of baggage that would come with accusations of DeSantis drinking and partying with his own female students, alleged first-hand accounts about his role in inhumane forms of torture that violate international law, his former press secretary and current rapid response director registering as a foreign agent, and recently having warmonger John Bolton promote him. Again, allegations are all that is needed to create baggage, not facts. The baggage potential for DeSantis makes Trump’s look like peanuts.

Mr. Trump has already been longer at the forefront of consideration for the nation’s highest office than anyone in the last century except for Presidents Franklin Roosevelt, Nixon, and Reagan. The supposition that he is finished is really the irrepressible wishful thinking of entrenched Trump-haters. It may be accurate, if Mr. Trump is less tactically astute than he has been in the last decade. His critics should remember that Mr. Trump invented and successfully executed a strategy for transforming celebrity and even notoriety into election to the presidency, and that he substantially repositioned the Republican Party directly on top of traditional Democratic political fiefdoms and attracted African- and Latin-American votes by the orthodox application of traditional Republican capitalist values: the tax incentivization of job-creating investment in economically disadvantaged areas. Those who have under-estimated him before should not imagine that he is incapable of adjusting to changed circumstances.
Those who complacently want the retention of Mr. Trump’s policies while disposing of him should remember that that course of action is almost never successful. The British Conservatives tried Thatcherism without Thatcher and Britain is now back almost to the strike-ridden floundering from which Margaret Thatcher rescued it 44 years ago. France opted for Gaullism without de Gaulle, and they lost both: there is no longer a Gaullist Party in France and its place has been taken by the National Front which has tempered its more reactionary policies but not changed its leader; it is faux Gaullism without de Gaulle. Trumpism without Mr. Trump might work with Governor DeSantis, but it’s not clear that DeSantis can win the primaries against Mr. Trump. And as Senator Graham said, in endorsing Mr. Trump, many presidents have promised to stop illegal immigration and move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and stand up to China, and make the NATO allies pay more, but only Mr. Trump did it all, and more.

For months, Donald Trump's critics have insisted that he has worn out his welcome with the voters, and that Republicans particularly are ready to move on to another less polarizing standard bearer – very specifically Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump, they tell us, is damaged goods. Trump's campaign they tell us is dead in the water. Republicans, they tell us are looking for a winner. The polls reflect none of this.

The question asked: “If the Republican presidential primary for the 2024 election was held today, who would you vote for?” 48 percent of respondents answered Trump. 25 percent answered DeSantis. No other potential contenders, including former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, Sen. Ted Cruz, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, or Sen. Tim Scott, received over 6 percent of the vote.

John and Jim McLaughlin, who run McLaughlin & Associates, recently released their poll that shows the former president ahead of DeSantis 48%-23%, just as popular as he was on Election Day last month, and leading Biden 48%-45%.
In their latest survey, besides showing Trump remaining the one to beat, they found Trump’s support had popped a point since Election Day last month, while they have the support for DeSantis down nationally by 4 points.

Who else can withstand that onslaught? Ron DeSantis? He's already running to the RINOs to support him over Trump. Do you think DeSantis has the intestinal fortitude to deal with the barrage of invective, investigations, character assassination, and destruction from the left on a national level? It has already started with questioning his service in Guantanamo. "Secretive, took part in torture, blah, blah." Just wait. They're lining up the liars as we speak.
DeSantis is a politician. Trump is not. For instance, can you imagine Ron DeSantis standing up for a defamed Supreme Court candidate as Trump did for Brett Kavanaugh? A politician would cut the losses. Trump hung in there and defeated the maniacs.
I don't think DeSantis can survive the onslaught. Look at his silence now. He has been hooked by Republicans who want a return to the old days, when they were allowed to be part of the elite — if they behaved as the Dems instructed. Pretty seductive — just go along, Ron.

Anyone challenging Mr. Trump is only motivated by their personal and selfish gain. They are not standing up to serve the people, they are standing up to see how the people can serve them and their own interests.
Whoever has the gall to show up to the 2024 primaries and stand against Mr. Trump has no intention of putting America First. The people are rising for Trump, not a two-bit chump. Putting America First should unite all, even the left and right. That is the one thing we all have in common. This is our country, and every American citizen and especially politicians, should want to put their country first on the global scale.

Should it be Trump or DeSantis in 2024? The answer lies in these four words: Form Always Follows Function. For example, if you’re shopping for a new vehicle, you must consider where the vehicle will typically be driven and for what purpose. If you would buy a new rifle, you must consider what you plan to shoot with it. The form must be matched to serve the function.
When Donald Trump and the patriots say they want to make America great again, they are envisaging the historical America, affirming the unalienable natural rights of the citizens.
…Trump has already proven that he has the knowledge, the will, and the courage to confront them all…

“I don’t know what’s going to happen. But I do know this: The Manhattan district attorney is a Soros-funded prosecutor,” DeSantis said, proceeding to slam Bragg’s lack of priorities in his jurisdiction, as crime runs rampant throughout the city. These Soros-backed prosecutors, he continued, “weaponize their office to impose a political agenda on society at the expense of the rule of law and public safety,” which is “fundamentally wrong.”
However, DeSantis appeared to dismiss the entire narrative, telling reporters that he has “real issues” to focus on in the Sunshine State.
“We are not involved in this [and] won’t be involved in this,” DeSantis said, reiterating that he has “no interest in getting involved in some type of manufactured circus by some Soros DA.”
“I’ve got so many things pending in front of the legislature. I’ve got to spend my time on issues that actually matter to people. I can’t spend my time worrying about things or things of that nature, so we’re not going to be involved in any way,” he added.
