He also rolled out tough talk against Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a 'war criminal' and saying he should be 'held accountable,' while dissing Russia as 'basically a gas station with a bunch of nuclear weapons' during a week when Putin huddled with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Moscow.

Congressman Ron DeSantis was very upset about Trump “being very positive about Putin”, wanted more lethal aids for Ukraine. Right now people are still suffering, while McConnell is still working hard to send more money to Ukraine. In the meantime this is the guy GOPe is pushing.

For those who may say that was from years ago, this was him this year, calling Putin a “gas station attendant” while being just a governor. Imagine what he would do if he became the president. You don’t provoke a country with a large amount of nuclear warheads like this.

Russia Has Noticed

DeSantis has taken neocon stances on other global hotspots too, from Latin America and Iran to the ongoing security crisis in Ukraine. Last month, DeSantis praised SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk for spending tens of millions of dollars a month to keep the Starlink satellite service in Ukraine up and running. DeSantis, coincidentally, is Musk’s favorite for president in 2024.

As other MAGA Republicans have slammed Biden, Democrats, and neocon members of their own party for sending tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine while ignoring domestic issues, DeSantis has remained curiously silent on the matter, notwithstanding his national stature as Trump’s potential replacement.
